That is an injustice! How does a school of Bishop Diego's size even considered to play against schools that are seven to ten times their size? Does the CIF answer to anyone?

As someone who was in the stands during the match, it's disappointing that the author neglected to mention the Fullerton team mocking the UCSB student section on the sideline after time expired. A big win for the team, but NCAA student-athletes are expected to win with class and present themselves with dignity and respect--character values the players certainly lacked in the aftermath.

Disappointing write up. You didn't even mention the Dos Pueblos sweep of the high jump. Since this poorly written article didn't bother to cover it, Dos Pueblos took first, second, third and tied for fourth in the high jump. I may be wrong, but I think that's the first time that's ever happened for any school.

E's cost San Marcos the game however the biggest E is on Presidio Sports!

This article is terrible! You still can't get it right after editing it for a second time! Writer must
be a SBHS alumni. BTW I have a photos of Nolan's at bat if you want to use it instead of some
random photo of him throwing the ball must of been busy cheering on the SB side and didn't
think to get a photo at a critical point of the game! "Once a Don........always a Presidio writer!"

Laguna Blanca is so lucky to have Jason Donnelly. Donnelly is not only a great coach and educator - but he truly is an excellent mentor and does everything in his capacity to make sure his student athletes find the right college and are on the right track for a bright future. He was the best all sports and life coach I've ever worked with. When we first met, I was a challenging teenager, and I became a better person for his guidance during those years. Congrats to the Donnelly family.

Way to go Channel League coaches, you really screwed up the selections this year. Buena was the undefeated Channel League champion (6-0-2) and you only put 2 of their players on the 1st team and only 2 on the 2nd team??!! You put the same amount on both teams from the winless last place Ventura (0-7-1), and gave the most nominations to the 3 SB schools (8 total for SM, SB and DP...only 5 total from Buena). It's apparent the SB coaches took advantage of the fact that long-time Buena coach Trish Butterbaugh resigned last year and swayed the nominations in favor of their schools while Buena's rookie coach was unaware of how the process is supposed to work. You should be ashamed of yourself. Take a look at the boy's nominations and all previous years for both boys and girls....champion usually gets 4 on 1st team and 3-4 on 2nd team....and the majority of total nominations...NOT THE LEAST!!! Good job on padding your coaching and school's stats, while failing to recognize some very deserving female athletes from the best team in the league who represented the league in CIF playoffs to the quarterfinal round and ended the season as the #1 ranked CIF-SS Division 3 school at 20-3-5.
